Self Architects are delighted to confirm the successful completion of a supported accommodation development on Sevenairs Road, Sheffield.
Following lengthy discussions and consultation with the applicant and end-users the scheme, with a construction cost of £2.1 million, has been developed on a brownfield site to provide supported accommodation for vulnerable people.
The front of the building engages with the street and creates a strong urban edge, contributing positively to the local environment. Behind the façade the building has been designed to have core units accessed through a central control and satellite units with independent access, wrapped around a central south-facing courtyard garden. The rooms have large windows with low cills to give views from a seated position over the gardens and adjacent public open space.
