Arts & Crafts House Submitted for Planning

Self Architects have recently submitted this new arts and crafts inspired house for planning. The design incorporates the vernacular of its rural Berkshire setting, while also providing a luxury 21st century home. The 500m² house sits in the middle of the extensive garden and is shielded on all sides by 3m hedges and trees.

To maximise the stunning views of the countryside, the main living spaces and master bedroom are located on the first floor. Three other bedrooms, a study and a pool room are located at ground level and open out to the garden. The new house replaces a highly visible modern style 1970’s house with extensive outbuildings.
