Self Restore Sheffield’s Silversmiths

28th October 2019

Sheffield city centre restaurant Silversmiths has been brought back to life by Self after only shutting a few weeks previously. The renowned restaurant recently re-opened its doors under new ownership after being bought by local businessmen Rick Bailey and Matt Ray.

Despite the quick turnaround, Self have designed an inviting, elegant and warm environment for the new look Silversmiths. The refurbished restaurant and bar has cosy booths and private dining space, providing a relaxed fine dining experience.

Despite first coming to prominence on Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, Silversmiths quickly built an unrivalled reputation as one of Yorkshire’s finest restaurants. It went on to win several awards including Exposed’s Sheffield’s Best Restaurant, Yorkshire’s Best Restaurant and has been featured in The Good Food Guide. Now, under the new ownership and head chef, they’re hoping to take the Silversmiths brand to the next level.

Self have worked with Rick previously, having designed American Sports and Dive Bar, FirePit Rocks on Sheffield’s West Street. Silversmiths further adds to Self’s growing leisure portfolio, with unique, upscale food retail experience Market Table recently opening in London.
