At Self, we are excited to announce the future delivery of the Terry Wright Building in Gleadless Valley for our Client, Sheffield Health Partnership University!
Using our expertise in Principle Designing and PR Building Regulation services, Self will provide an architectural design for the refurbishment and new build of the new mental health centre in S2.
Alongside the centres cost consultant team Edge, we will be using our services to support the building works to ensure that the new centre is able to focus on prevention and early intervention, for those in the Gleadless and Heeley area.
Scheduled for completion in Spring 2026, the development will feature an upgraded Terry Wright Community Hall, a modernised Newfield Green Library, and a new 24/7 mental health centre providing integrated, person-centred support for adults over 18 with serious mental illnesses.
James Drury, director of strategy at SHPU, said: “This is a major step forward in how we support people with serious mental illness in Sheffield. By working together with our communities, we’re building an innovative place where people can get the help they need.”
