Self Architects were thrilled to be asked to present their work on West Park Palace to the local community at the launch of the ‘St Matthews Community Enterprise Centre’ in Hull.
Having transformed the derelict Church into a thriving community hub, our client Giroscope wanted to showcase their next project to foster support and discussion. The celebratory event was attended by local businesses, residents, and councillors, with the catering and hospitality provided by groups supported by Giroscope to provide opportunities and skills development for local people.
The West Park Palace project looks to refurbish a historic cinema building that has had a devastating fire into a multipurpose community wintergarden and employment space. The central feature will be a three-storey glasshouse in which various events are envisaged to take place.
