With the client purchasing a unit opposite their existing office, the brief was to refurbish the newly-purchased space, allowing for the continued expansion of the company. The works comprised of a major refurbishment by completely stripping-out the 2-storey unit, removing floors, partition walls and suspended ceilings.

Working closely with the client, we introduced a mainly open-plan layout, including several small offices and meeting rooms, where we introduced full-height, glazed partitions to utilise borrowed natural light from existing windows. Our brief was to give an industrial feel to the office space, which was achieved by exposing the concrete slab ceiling of the ground floor and also using industrial metal ducting and galvanised steel electrical trunking for the electrics. The choice of furniture and lighting also contributed to the industrial interior, with the addition of a living moss wall also worked into the brief, reusing it from another COOLSPIRiT office.
