The newly built 39-bed lodge is located to the rear of the existing Marston’s Lock Keeper Public House on the A57 close to Worksop town centre and closely situated to the M1 and A1 motorways.

The site includes adequate parking facilities for lodge customers as well as staff, and includes a mix of hard and soft landscaping.

Inspiration

The building takes inspiration from the existing pub building, the elevational treatments include facing brick and render matching the existing pub in appearance and they also incorporate brickwork detailing from the pub.

The approximate building cost was £2.3 million and it was completed in 24 weeks. This is the third completed timber frame lodge, with several more currently under construction and in for planning approval.
