Mansion Point has been fully reconfigured by Self from four Manchester University student accommodation buildings of three, 3-storey buildings with cluster flats and shared bathrooms built around Allen Hall which had staff space, a dining hall, kitchens, student bar, and a chapel. A new floor has been created in the roof space, forming an additional 10 bedrooms in each building. The ground floor will have 9 en-suite rooms and 4 studios. The first and second floors will have 9 en-suite rooms and 5 studios. The central block (Allen Hall) has been converted to form 52 new studios, with a new mezzanine in the chapel and amenity spaces and a laundry in the basement.

Maximising Existing Student Accommodation

Mansion Point join several Self student housing projects, which demonstrate our stills in maximising an existing student block, by reconfiguring the accommodation to generate more beds, as well as extending the buildings to add additional accommodation. The accommodations design is substantially upgraded through the design of our interior designers, to create fresh and vibrant spaces.
