We completed our Architectural and Lead Designer role for a new 79 bed Premier Inn with Thyme Restaurant in early 2018. The new hotel was constructed on a challenging site between an active railway line, the Ulverston Canal and high voltage overhead cables.
The site has several other constraints including being located within a flood zone and this resulted in an innovative design to address the restrictions. The ‘L’ shaped lodge has under-croft parking for 31 cars under the wing located closest to the flood plain. The build cost was £3.7m and the project was completed on time.
